Artist statement
My entire art practice, personal aesthetics, and free time revolves around dolls and doll making. When I am not actively designing and fabricating my own dolls, I research and emulate the processes of professionals in the industry. Over time, I have accumulated the fundamental skills required to bring my visions to life.
Each character I build has a story to tell. Whether it is the backstory I write for each individual character, or the narrative creative by the owner, the sculptural details of the dolls are designed to encourage complex, engaging storytelling. Dolls inherently facilitate expressive play, and those who interact with my dolls have the power to give them life.
